Arts@JLG: heART is a 2-day event taking place on 12 and 13 July 2025 intertwining art and nature offering a transformative experience, fostering self-reflection, creative expression, and holistic well-being inspired by the journey of self-discovery.
We invite you to explore your relationship with art and personal well-being, while cultivating inner peace and mindfulness through creative expression and wellness activities amidst the serene beauty of Jurong Lake Gardens.

Meet the Composting Heroes by Majulah Green

This is a 15-minute interactive micro-show, happening every 40 minutes. It’s designed for walk-in visitors of all ages to enjoy a fun and educational hands-on introduction to composting through the fascinating world of worms.
The show features the African Night Crawlers (ANCs) composting worms that turn food and paper waste into worm castings, known as farmer’s gold.

This participatory work "Clouds in the Sky" invites visitors to play, transform and reinterpret, through making foraged prints and the slow process of rejuvenating unrefined pottery clay into paint.
It is a gentle, open-ended invitation to consider how various forms and shapes encountered in the Garden might shift and take on new life from start to finish!

Come discover SAMH's inspiring work in mental wellness! Since 1968, the Singapore Association for Mental Health has been empowering individuals through creative, psychosocial and vocational programmes.
At our Mindset Learning Hub, we support persons-in-recovery through employability training in areas like F&B, retail, and administrative work, while nurturing their creative expression through handcrafted merchandise. At Activity Hub @ Pelangi Village, residents engage in therapy, social work, and vocational programmes, creating artwork that reflects their personal journeys of resilience and hope.

Did you know that natural materials such as leaves, fruits, branches, roots, and flowers are often used to make dyes for batik artworks? Many batik pieces feature motifs inspired by the flora and fauna of the region.
Create your own batik-inspired artwork inspired by the traditional batik making technique. Guided by our facilitators, you will apply glue to outline nature-inspired motifs before adding colors, just like in real batik art.

Learn from our aspiring chefs as they show you how to make Pinakbet, a hearty, colourful Filipino vegetable stew. We will be cooking with freshly harvested squash, eggplant, okra, and long beans, all simmered in a rich, savoury broth flavoured with fermented shrimp paste (called bagoong).
