ArtsEverywhere@JLG: heART is a family-friendly carnival intertwining arts and nature, to bring you a marketplace, workshops, and other activities that nurture physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
We invite you to explore your relationship with art and personal well-being, while cultivating inner peace and mindfulness through creative expression and wellness activities amidst the serene beauty of Jurong Lake Gardens.

Gardener's Day Out Marketplace

Meet our specialists who are ready to diagnose issues affecting your green
companions — whether you're a first-time plant owner or a seasoned gardener.
Explore our exhibits on common pests, diseases, and soil types to deepen
your understanding of what your plants need to thrive. Bring your plants

Stamp Rally
Date and Time: 13 and 14 June, 9am - 6pm
Calling all explorers! 🌿 Hop across all 3 gardens and stamp your way
to a prize! Collect 2 out of 3 stamps at each of our Vistor Service counters
and head to the heART Info Booth at Lakeside Field to redeem your very
own limited edition JLG pin and dining voucher at EDEN, while stocks last.

Airdry Claymaking by PLAY!

Get your hands dirty and let your imagination run wild! In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you'll explore the wonderful world of air-dry clay making. Pinch, coil, flatten, and mould your way to a creation that's entirely your own.
Shrink Art by National Family Festival
Date and Time: 13 and 14 June, 9am to 6pm
Unleash your inner artist and create something truly one of a kind! Pick your design, colour it in, and watch the magic happen as your artwork shrinks into a beautiful, pocket-sized keepsake. It's fun, it's creative, and it's all yours to take home.
Bouncy Castles by National Family Festival
Date and Time: 13 and 14 June, 9am to 6pm
Get ready for a whole lot of fun! Jump in, bounce around, and enjoy every moment — because the fun doesn't stop here. We hope you leave with a big smile on your face and memories to last a lifetime!
Please note that NParks will not be liable for any injuries or accidents that may occur at the bouncy castle. We kindly ask all parents and guardians to supervise their children at all times and ensure they play safely. Let's keep the fun going for everyone!

The Caged Parrot– A Nature Folktale Come to Life by Act 3 International
Date and Time: 13 June, 9am - 10am

A merchant keeps a wild parrot in a beautiful cage, believing comfort
and care are enough to make her happy. But when she asks him to carry a
message to her family deep in the forest, his journey through the wild
reveals a deeper truth — that what she truly longs for is the freedom to
live as herself.
This immersive outdoor performance blends storytelling, movement, song, colourful costumes, and character play in the lush surroundings of the Gardens. Inspired by a tale of a wild parrot and her longing for freedom, the performance invites families to reflect on belonging and the joy of living close to nature.

Mini Bonsai "Prune and Shape" by Crafted Identity
Date and Time: 13 June, 11am - 12pm
Suitable Age: 12 years old & above
Capacity: 10 participants per workshop
Participants will work on a pre-bonsai plant approximately 15cm tall and learn how simple pruning and shaping techniques can transform a young plant into a miniature tree full of movement and character.
In this beginner-friendly session, participants will:
• Learn basic bonsai pruning and shaping techniques
• Explore different bonsai styles and forms
• Understand simple bonsai care and maintenance
• Experience the calming and mindful nature of bonsai crafting
Each participant will bring home their own shaped mini bonsai creation.

Introduction to Wabikusa Terrarium by Crafted Identity
Date and Time: 13 June, 1pm - 2pm
Suitable Age: 12 years old & above

Participants will create a miniature living ecosystem inspired by the Japanese Wabikusa concept. This guided workshop introduces how water, moss, and plants work together to form a natural and serene composition. Handcrafted materials and guided assistance will be provided throughout the session. No experience is required.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will:
• Build their own Wabikusa terrarium step-by-step
• Learn how water, moss, and plants create a living ecosystem
• Arrange a natural flowing composition inspired by nature
• Discover simple care techniques for the terrarium

Get hands-on with one of printmaking's most tactile and creative techniques! In this workshop, you'll build your very own printing plate by layering textured materials such as string, lace, leaves, and more, onto a block. Once inked and pressed, your print reveals a stunning composition of patterns and textures that is completely unique to you. Are you curious about watercolour painting and want to try it out? Learn how to use this fascinating medium to create your very own painting of Jurong Lake Garden. Try a new way of seeing the world with negative space! Referring to the space surrounding an object, this parent-child art workshop introduces a novel way of looking at the world and playing with shapes. Let creativity flow as you create interesting artwork in the heart of Jurong Lake Gardens.

Anthotype Printing by PLAY!
Date and Time: 3pm - 4:30pm

Discover the art of anthotype printmaking, a beautiful, eco-friendly craft that uses natural pigments of plants like turmeric, spinach, beetroot, and flowers to create delicate, one-of-a-kind prints. Mix your own pigment, then coast your paper with it. Arrange your objects, and let the sun do the rest. Over time, sunlight gently reveals a beautiful artwork made by nature!
*This workshop will involve the use of isopropyl alcohol and turmeric powder. Please refrain from attending the workshop if you have any allergies to these compounds.

Slow down and see nature through a new lens in this guided photography workshop around the beautiful landscapes of Jurong Lake Gardens. Learn simple photography tips while exploring light, textures, and natural details around you. Suitable for beginners and anyone who enjoys photography using a phone or camera.
Mandatory parent/guardian supervision is required throughout
the session. Parent/guardian must be 21 years old and above.
Participants are required to wear sports attire and covered footwear.
