Stoneboat and Tea Pavilion
Stoneboat
Gracing the shores of the Lotus Pond, the Stoneboat 邀月舫 (yāo yuè fǎng) is a vision of classical Chinese architecture rising serenely from the water's edge. Its sweeping upturned eaves, ornate timber detailing, and pavilion-style silhouette are hallmarks of traditional Peking design — rendered here in stone, as if the vessel has always belonged to this landscape.
The surrounding lotus pond lends the Stoneboat its most enchanting quality: a mirror of still water that frames the structure in bloom and reflection, evoking the timeless garden scenery of imperial China.
Once a branch of the Registry of Marriages, the Stoneboat today endures as one of Jurong Lake Gardens' most beloved landmarks — a place where heritage architecture and natural beauty meet in quiet, picturesque harmony
Tea Pavilion
Behold "The Gallery of Tea Fragrance" 茗香榭 (míng xiāng xiè), the captivating Tea Pavilion. This architectural marvel features three pavilions connected by a winding corridor, seemingly floating above the Lotus Pond – a design inspired by the Summer Palace.
A poetic stone inscription greets visitors, inviting contemplationof the serene surroundings, including views of the Stoneboat. Steeped in Ming Dynasty heritage, this space honours the sophisticated art of tea culture and celebrates the art of tea, brewing techniques, elegance, and creativity in a timeless experience.
